Postcard perfect. I feel much safer out here than back at home. The level of precaution this city is taking - from temperature checks into any establishment, mandatory face masks to full body spray down into restaurants. Bravo Cabo! I am tempted to stay here for much longer AND with a peace of mind. ❤️ loscabostourism ...

I’ve been to Mexico a lot! I grew up in San Diego and crossed the border all the time. But for some reason I never made it all the way down to Cabo. Back in November I came here with the family for the first time. And this last weekend I got to return for the wedding of sandiegochris and aliciacarbynies. I took a short boat ride out the arch and hung out on Lover Beach and Divorce Beach. I highly recommend paying the $15 for the round-trip on the boat ride. Well worth it. ...

🇬🇧Sea lions are quite the social party animals, as they are rarely found alone. In fact, they live much of their lives in large groups. Sometimes these groups may number in the thousands, but there are smaller sub-colonies of sea lions within the larger colony or pod. Sea lions enjoy the closeness of living together -- even if they have plenty of room to spread out further from one another.

Weather

The tropical-desert-like environment makes weather in Cabo San Lucas hot and humid. But summers are not heavily rainy and winters are mild hot. Hurricane season is considerable hazardous from June/July through October/November. The best months to visit Cabo are from December to April, thanks to more comfortable temperatures and less precipitations.

Dry season

Dry season

Late fall months bring cooler air and make Cabo lovely. Winter is mild with no hurricane threats and comfortable temperatures.

85°F 78°F

Wet season

Wet season

From May to October, very high temperatures during daytime. The rainy season is not extreme. September is the wettest month and it's one most dangerous months for hurricanes.

94°F 88°F

Good to know

  1. Clothing With average temperatures hovering in the eighties all year round, you don’t want to pack your winter wear for a vacation.
  2. Sundries For convenience and cost concerns, bring your own everyday health and beauty products with you. If you head to the beach, bring your onboard towel.
  3. Port Regulation Be aware that often in port it's forbidden to take off the ship fruits, vegetables and unsealed food items for local agricolture concern.
  4. Time Zone UTC−7 (Pacific (US Mountain)) - Summer (DST) UTC−6 (Pacific). Make sure to keep the ship's time on your clock to come back board on time.
  5. Currency The official currency is the Mexican peso, but almost just as official is the US Dollar.

Terminal

The port does not have a dedicated cruise terminal. Cruise ships in Cabo San Lucas are anchored in the bay, where they bring passengers to the inner marina by tender boats. Tender ride is just about 10 minutes. The small boat’s pier is located on the main boulevard and it’s just 10 minutes away by walk from the city center. ATMs, tourist info points, bars and shopping centers are really close to the tender pier.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico - July 2, 2018: Carnival Splendor cruise ship was at anchor in Cabo San Lucas, tendering it's passengers to the island
Cruise ship at anchor in Cabo San Lucas engaged in tendering operations.

Transport

If you won’t book onboard excursions, the main mean of transportation are bicycle taxis. Car taxis are not really plenty. The second option, especially to visit beaches around, is by ferry boats.
