The Malaga Cathedral

The Cathedral of Málaga is considered one of the most beautiful buildings of the Andalusian Renaissance. The construction of the Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación church, which is located in the historical center on the ruins of an ancient mosque, work for its realization took place between 1528 and 1783, stopped in 1680 due to an earthquake, and was left unfinished. There are, in fact, the finish of the main façade and the south tower. Do not miss a visit to the side chapels, which are home to precious works of art such as paintings by Pedro de Mena, Luis de Moralès, Jose de Riberas and Alonso Cano.
