Reggia di Caserta

About one hour from the port of Salerno it is possible to visit the magnificent Royal Palace of Caserta, a destination for tourists from all over the world. In the mid-1700s, the King of Naples Charles of Bourbon, struck by the beauty of the landscape of Caserta, decided to have a palace built that would give credit to that wonder and above all that would stand up to the comparison with the Palace of Versailles. Along with the palace, the King also wanted a park of equal beauty to be built. Today you can access the Palace thanks to guided tours and see the majestic rooms inside and then get lost in the meanders of the garden.
