The Museum of Belize is a museum of art and history. Located in Belize City, this museum was built between 1854 and 1857 while the Belize was still under British rule and initially served as a prison. It was later transformed into The Museum of Belize in 2002. The museum is divided into three sections: history, exhibitions and activities. The Museum of Belize is committed to providing inclusive history and learning experiences of the history and culture of Belize.
