Mount Enos

The largest of the Ionian Islands has a number of goals over a thousand meters, including Mount Enos which, with its 1628 meters above sea level is not only the largest mountain in the archipelago, but it is also one of the most impressive peaks of the whole Greece. Not surprisingly, the mountain, which is located in the south of the island, in 1962 was declared a National Park in Kefalonia. It is also why the extraordinary biodiversity of the fauna, including several species of migratory birds, turtles and even a large colony of horses living in the wild. The trails are well maintained and properly marked to allow hikers to easily reach the top.
