Lonja de la Seda

The Lonja de la Seda (Silk Exchange) was founded as a symbol of the golden age of Valencia, has been the center of commercial and cultural activities in the early sixteenth century. In 1996 it was declared World Heritage by UNESCO. A construction from a cow side with the grandeur of its structure, but on the other allured by the elegance of its ornaments. The Lonja is now home Cultural Academy of Valencia, often home to exhibitions.
