Fiskardo

Some 40 kilometers from Argostoli and about twenty from Assos, Fiskardo is a must stop on a visit to Kefalonia. It is a small fishing village on the north coast of the island, miraculously survived the earthquake in 1953 that struck the archipelago of the Ionian. The circumstance has allowed the country to practically preserve intact its architectural features that, over time, proved to be a great tourist attraction. To see the harbor area where the yachts are moored both vacationers that fishing boats of the locals. On either side of the port, in addition, two small pebble beaches, surrounded by rich Mediterranean vegetation.
