Charco de Los Clicos

Inside the Timanfaya National Park we find a spectacular lagoon inside a volcanic crater constantly filled by ocean currents through an underground tunnel. Its name, Charco de Los Clicos derives from the fact that on the bottom of the crater there are algae that dye the water a beautiful bright green and contrast strongly with the blue of the sky. The black volcanic sand finishes the picture making this place a real work of art.
