Arechi's Castle

The Arechi Castle is a medieval fortress located 300 meters high to dominate the city and the entire gulf. It is a crenellated wall that joins the two towers used for the protection of the structure. In fact it is considered the symbol of Salerno and takes its name from the Lombard Duke Arechi II, who ordered its construction. The castle is now a large monumental complex that includes some salons that host conferences and private functions.
