Alhambra of Grenada

Just an hour and 30 minutes by bus from Malaga, on the slopes of the mountain range of the Sierra Nevada, is one of the most beautiful destinations in all of Spain: the city of Granada, with the Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Built in the mid-eleventh century by the Nasrid sultans, the last Muslim dynasty to reign over Spain, the Alhambra is a fortified palace that offers spectacular views of the Andalusian countryside from its hilltop position. The stunning Moorish architecture of the Alhambra is a real feast for the eyes, while the Generalife, architect or garden, looks like a paradise of gardens with views, and tranquil vistas in the most elegant Italian Renaissance style.
